Dr. Lauren K. Borofsky is a caring and dedicated veterinarian with a passion for animal health and conservation. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont. Her interest in veterinary health was first sparked during her work with wildlife veterinarians at the Northwest Hawaiian Islands National Wildlife Refuge, where she contributed to the preservation of the region's fragile native species. Her clinical focus has evolved to emphasize preventative care and promoting the long-term health and well-being of pets. She is deeply committed to ensuring animals live long, healthy lives through balanced nutrition, comprehensive immune protection against infectious diseases, early disease detection, and proper geriatric care. She integrates both medical and alternative therapies to manage chronic conditions and improve pain control, providing holistic support for her patients. Outside of her veterinary practice, Dr. Borofsky is an active volunteer and serves as a leader for a local nonprofit organization focused on advocating for sustainable community actions. She is also passionate about outdoor activities, enjoying skiing in Vermont, surfing the cold waters of New England, and traveling with her family. Recently, she has extended her gardens’ growing season with the addition of a backyard greenhouse!
